Paige got a Christmas Hershey Bar from Grandma for Christmas. I think it has a picture of a snowman on it. I've been wanting to eat it, but I keep telling myself it is hers, not mine. Of course, no one in their right mind would give a toddler a whole Hershey Bar anyway, so I thought, maybe I could have a piece, but then I started thinking I'd ruin the snowman picture. I just explained this to my friend Michelle, who then proceeded to pick the Hershey Bar up, and break it into pieces, so that this wouldn't be a problem to me now. Is this like some sort of weird intervention technique?
On another note, I just visited one of the blogs I enjoy, and found that there was a post spurred from my blog! I'm so flattered and excited to have made a new blogging buddy. Here's the post. How many of you can relate? (Oh, and by the way, the rest of her blog is fun to read too...not just the stuff that mentions me. LOL)
Hi Michie! Thanks for the plug via the plug, or however that worked :) I'm loving your posts, sounds like you're doing great with breaking some habits, and I laughed out loud reading about breaking the Hershey bar! Good for your roomie, you couldn't ask for better support than that ;)
ReplyDeleteTo anyone concerned - This is Michie's roommate and I did make it out of the breaking the candy bar incident with my life - Although it was close. I was concerned that she was going to strangle me in my sleep. :o) But she really is doing well at trying to curb some of these perfectionism habits even with an occasional unwanted bit of help from her friends.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like me and Peeps. I can't eat them because they're too cute and I get upset about "killing" them. So of course someone at work has a habit every Easter of hiding random Peep heads around my workspace...
ReplyDeleteOkay, I went back into an earlier post to write this, because I'm guessing it will get less traffic (and I did not see an email address for you).
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to give you some feedback on your site's new look; On one hand, I love it; it's engaging. However, I find reading the white on black somewhat annoying. Don't take that personal or anything; I just wanted to tell you why I might not make it back too often, rather than just sneaking off. :)
