Aloha # 3.
Friday, May 8, 2009
Just when I was getting pretty regular about posting, I had an exhausting week at work, full of IEP Meetings, parent meetings, and finishing state alternate assessment portfolios. I was exhausted every day. So, hopefully after I get a little rest, I can have a little more blog time. I'm trying not to feel "guilty" about not posting on my own blog. But we all know how much of a struggle that can be, right?
In any event, it is time for Aloha Friday.
In honor of Mother's Day, my question is: What is your favorite memory of you and your mother?
Happy Mother's Day to all. :)

I think my favorite memory of my Mother is anytime I was sick she took care of me.

I remember one time my mom let me sleep on her lap on a long drive home from Disney World. i still remember the feel of the skin on her legs. It's a nice memory. I hope my kids remember the fun! I pray for it often. :)

Every August, right before school started and right around the time of the County Fair, my mom always took each of kids separately to go school shopping in the big "city" and hour away! It was something we always looked forward to!

I look forward to spending time with my mom now...I can't say that I did when I was a kid. I was pretty rough. So I can't think of something to address your questions!
Thanks for your comment about the Happy Meal toy :) I appreciate a different view! With regards to BK and their commercials - I think they are THAT bad that I wouldn't eat there. Not that I would ever miss it, as I never ate there before. Marketing is such a huge part of what they are, I think it justifies the "hold out".
Have a happy weekend!

Sarah -
Thanks for your comments. I was afraid you'd think I was being a jerk when you read my post, but I wasn't trying to be - just taking a different view. I thought of your blog post today when I went out and bought Paige a Happy Meal. We haven't listened to the CD yet, but she was excited to see it because her cousins have Kidz Bop. She knew what it was right away. It'll be interesting to listen to.
